Itinerary
The Overland commenced service in 1887, pioneering intercapital rail travel between Melbourne and Adelaide. The century old name came from the affectionate term "Overlander", an adventurer who had travelled across the country. Today's train travelling 'Overlanders' will enjoy the journey in relaxing comfort arriving at their destination early evening.

Red Premium Service offers comfortable reclining seats with extended leg room, 67cm pitch between seats. Two-abreast to one side and a single seat across the aisle, the seats swivel to face each other if you want to socialise with your travelling companions. There is a licenced Cafe Carriage for meals or drinks and if you don't want to leave your seat, enjoy an a-la-carte meal or snack from the catering trolley. Included in the Red Premium Service, complimentary orange juice on boarding, platform magazine, priority luggage handling service and a luggage allowance of 50kg per person, 2 x 20kg items and 1 x 10kg item.

The Red Service is for travellers looking for an economy option that offers exceptional level of comfort and freedom to move around. Relax in comfortable two abreast reclining seats with generous leg room, 49cm pitch between seats and seats can swivel to face each other. Meals and snacks can be purchased from the licenced Cafe Carriage. Luggage allowed 40kg per person, 2 items at 20kg each.
